Woman’s Lawsuit Claims Scarring After Treatment

GENEVA – A Batavia woman has filed suit against a Geneva laser skin center claiming that her legs are permanently scarred after a treatment she received there eight months ago.
“Our belief,” Malm said, “is that the person who performed the procedure had not been adequately trained.” The American Society for Dermatologic Surgery recommends that cosmetic treatments, including those using lasers and high-tech light devices, be performed by a fully qualified physician or under the physician’s direct supervision, according to its Web site.
