John J. Malm & Associates Has Been Retained to Represent a 42-Year-Old Woman Who Was a Victim of a Shooting at the Chicago White Sox Game at Guaranteed Rate Field on August 25, 2023
According to attorney, John Malm: “Since the evening of the shooting, our client has remained fully cooperative with law enforcement. Our client was interviewed by Area 1 detectives from the Chicago Police Department, as well as special agents of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, after being transported to the University of Chicago Hospital. There, our client voluntarily submitted to multiple interviews with law enforcement, and she further granted requests by police to review medical information, including x-rays of her wounds. She turned over her clothing and allowed police to examine and extensively photograph her wounds. She has freely provided statements to law enforcement investigators on multiple occasions, including a follow-up telephone interview conducted by police shortly following the shooting. She has received no further contact from law enforcement in the past month.”
Our client continues to deny ever bringing a firearm into Guaranteed Rate Field and further denies any involvement in the discharge of a firearm at the ball park.
Since the shooting, John J. Malm & Associates has received numerous inquiries from members of the media. It is the policy of our law firm to refrain from commenting on social media or news media accounts which are not based in fact or which are simply offered as speculation.
Our law firm continues to investigate the shooting at Guaranteed Rate Field that seriously injured our client.
